EU ENPARD Grants – Category 1: General Grant Opportunities

The program has two frameworks: the general one, and a specific one. The general framework is applicable in all ENPARD municipalities, and without any restrictions regarding the type of investment. In parallel, the specific framework  promotes specific value chains, investments, or economic actors and is explained in the next section ‘special grant opportunities’. The general framework’s matching grant features are:

  • Primary focus on the ENPARD municipalities:
    • Akhalakalaki
    • Borjomi
    • Dedoplitskaro
    • Kazbegi
    • Keda
    • Khulo
    • Lagodekhi
    • Tetriskaro
  • A financial grant representing 40% of the eligible investment, in support of the 60% contribution to be paid by the grantee
  • Matching grant range:
    • 1,000 to 150,000 USD (equivalent in GEL).
  • A clear and transparent application and selection process leading to a granting decision by the Application Review Committee (composed by representatives from the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Europen Union for Georgia, and FAO)
