Project Description

The programme EU4Culture aims to contribute to making culture as an engine for growth and social development across the region, by assisting in implementation of Cultural Development Strategies of non-capital cities and towns, providing grants and capacity-building support for complementing those strategies, as well as organising mobility schemes for artists and culture professionals.

Specific Objective

EU4Culture aims to contribute to making culture an engine for growth and social development across the region.
Specifically, the project aims to:
-Support the enhancement of the role of the cultural sector as driver of economic development.
-Promote intercultural dialogue for peaceful inter-community relations and knowledge exchange across the countries.
-Contribute to improving local governance in the culture sector through support for regulatory processes and participative policy dialogue.

Expected Results

The intended results are:
-Cultural Development Strategies are elaborated in non-capital cities/towns.
-The management structures at the identified sites are improved for better presentation of cultural heritage and cultural activities.
-The capacity of Culture and Creative Industries (CCI) operators to deliver services is increased.
-The awareness of internationalisation amongst national EaP cultural operators is increased.
-The exposure of local artists and cultural events supported by the project is increased.
-The event management, and participation capacities and tools of local cultural operators are strengthened.
-The participation opportunities for local authorities in regional networking are increased.
-The resources and capacities of local authorities on cultural policy management and creative industries development are strengthened.
-The opportunities for local cultural businesses, representative associations and civil society organisations to participate in policy discourse and constructive dialogue with public authorities are increased.
